Welcome to Alaska Alive.

Welcome to Creating Culturally Responsive Schools.

Alaska Alive is a face-to-face and distance-learning course designed for Alaskan educators. This course is the product of nearly twenty years experience in rural Alaskan communities as well as many years of research. It is especially designed to give the student an understanding of the history of the government’s relationship with Alaska’s native population from the United States’ purchase of Alaska from the Czar of Russia to statehood. Lectures will provide historical information prior to purchase from Russia and after statehood was granted.
